Yosri AYADI has just been appointed to head up NUMERYX Tunisie, the Tunisian subsidiary of the NUMERYX group founded in France. In this exclusive interview, NUMERYX Tunisia’s new CEO reveals his strategy for developing the company not only on the local market, but also in Africa and the Middle East.
Why has Numeryx chosen to invest in Tunisia?
The choice of Tunisia as the location for NUMERYX’s first subsidiary outside France is based on a solid business case – and not just because it’s the birthplace of the group’s founder. The strongest argument in favor of this choice was the presence of significant human capital. As you probably know, a large number of Tunisian engineers are recruited by multinationals all over the world – and particularly in Europe and France. NUMERYX’s investment in Tunisia is primarily aimed at tapping into this important pool of local skills. Tunisia also boasts a large ecosystem of start-ups and companies in various sectors, as well as universities, which are in the process of supplying the market with a large number of high-quality engineers.
How is the company positioned in the local market today?
Since its creation in 2019, the company has been able to strengthen its presence on the national market. We now have a broad portfolio of projects in Tunisia, in collaboration with international partners such as GIZ, USAID and Tunisia JOBS. We also work with Business France to bring French and European companies closer to the Tunisian market. We also work with a number of public institutions. We are in charge of redesigning the OACA portal. We have also carried out projects in collaboration with the Ministries of Finance and Social Affairs. In this respect, NUMERYX Tunisie has been entrusted with the development of the registration platform for citizens eligible for social assistance.
It seems that Tunisia will be the base for your international expansion. Can you tell us more?
Exactly. NUMERYX Tunisia’s premises also house NUMERYX Middle-East & Africa. We made this choice because we realized that the know-how developed here can easily be exported to other markets, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, where there is a clear need. This international development is one of the priorities I’ve been focusing on since my appointment as Managing Director of NUMERYX Tunisia. We began by expanding in Africa and the Middle East, but we also hope to extend our presence in other markets, notably North America.
What makes your human resources strategy different?
As a company offering services in the digital sector, we believe that NUMERYX’s strength lies in the quality of its human capital. It’s thanks to the know-how of our teams that we’re able to offer our customers top-notch service. So it’s only natural that the company should value its human capital. We believe that the company must support its employees and create a friendly environment that enables them to excel. In this context, it should be remembered that the primary beneficiaries of NUMERYX University, our branch dedicated to continuing education, are our employees. This enables them to remain at the cutting edge of advances in a rapidly evolving technological sector. Co-responsibility is also a key element of our strategy.
